This is a tale sent to me by a good friend. This original Mythologic Greek tale is dedicated to all the people that belive that there is always a better day in our future. This tale is not important just for it content, but because it's a gift from the past for the future.
Hope you enjoy as I did.
Well once upon a time there was a lovely maiden named Danae, her father was strict and he locked her in a basement, so as not to go with a man
Zeus saw Danae from the sky and he transformed himself into golden rain, he entered the cell of Danae and left her pregnant to Perseus
when her father found out, he put her in a boat and throw her into the Egean sea to die.
So Danae with Perseas were floating on the Aegean sea and they arrived after days on an island.
The island was called Seriphos and it has the same name now in the Cyclades.
The king was naughty and was pursuing Danae, so Perseus had to killed the naughty king.
He then left to be a hero
When he was in Ethiopia he met Andromeda like the nebula in the sky.
Her mother Cassiopeia bragged that her hair were more beautifull than the nymphs so her land was punished.
It was destroyed by a huge sea monster so the oracle said that Cassiopeia had to cut her hair
and they had to sacrifice Andromeda to the sea monster
They tied her to a rock and they waited but Perseus was passing by and killed the sea monster! So he got the girl and he then left and met three old ladies that shared a tooth and an eye he robbed them of that !! He returned them to the old ladies and in return he got a mirror
He set off then to find and killed Medusa
Medusa or Gorgon (Gorgon means mermaid in Greek) was frightening she had snakes for hair
and she could turn people to stone with a look of her eyes
Perseus did a trick
He approached Medusa not looking directly into her eyes but seeing her reflection in the mirror that the old ladies gave him and when he was close enough he cut her throat
It is said that from her blood Pegasus the flying horse was born, so Perseus kept the head of Medusa and put it on his shield
to freeze the enemies
So Perseus went back to Greece and went to some athletic games.
There was a fight over a game, they said that he wasn't the winner, and as he was angry he threw the discus and killed the king.
Perseus he found out that the king was really his grandfather so he took the throne and with Danae ruled the land for evermore.
THE END

I lov'it.
